Fall at its/the Peak

When the Mikesells told me they bought a campground in Boone, NC I was surprised... and beyond thrilled.  We love to tent camp, so I was excited to scope out a new location.  But when they asked me to come photograph their family in their new special place, and snap a few shots for their website - I was super excited - two of my favorites - North Carolina mountains in the fall, and photography!
(this is a shot from the top of "Hay Mountain", a seasonal activity for the kids by the pumpkin patch on the property)

I want to post every single picture because the colors were just amazing - the day we chose to go up there the leaves had just hit their peak colors, so they were brilliant against the Carolina blue sky!  Not to mention these kids.  Adorable.  With a capital A.
(And I guess the parents aren't that hard to look at either)  ; )

The kids absolutely love coming to the campground every weekend!  This little stream is their favorite place to play - and I can see why!

The kids have lots of fun on this double swing!

This was probably my favorite fall session so far - I mean, Honey Bear Campground is AMAZING!  It's got so many neat little spots nestled into the mountainside - streams, bridges, a pond, play things for the kids - it is truly amazing!  Here are a couple more shots to show you around a little:

I kind of felt like a creeper taking that one... but I didn't want him to know I was taking it :)

This is one of the cabins they have available to rent - and this is the view from the front porch of the cabin: (below)

So, if you haven't already, you should definitely go check out Honey Bear Campground - they have tent spots, RV spots with full hook-ups, cabins, and even a park-model RV they keep ready-to-go incase you don't want to rough it in the tent, but don't have your own RV to bring!

*I was not paid in any way for this review of Honey Bear Campground, I just really like it that much and can't wait to go camping there myself! :)
