Family Fun and A Birthday in One!

I must hand it over to the Smith family - they were brave enough to do a one hour portrait session with their two year old and two month old, right before said two year old's birthday party!  Are they super parents or what?  Here are some of my faves from the portrait session.

And here's a peek at the fun from the party!

Thanks for letting me capture such special memories for your family, Smiths!

In Which Brittany & Eric Get Married

I had the amazing privelige of capturing Eric & Brittany's first 'date' several years ago... okay so it wasn't a date... it was ice skating on New Year's with my hubby & I because none of us had anything else to do... but still. :)

I certainly had no idea that nearly two years later I'd have the honor of photographing their wedding!  Britt & Eric are such a perfect couple and it's been so fun to watch their friendship bloom into a relationship and then to watch their relationship form into marriage... from behind the lens.  I'm not gonna lie, there was a tear or two on my viewfinder during this shoot :)

An old friend of Brittany's gave her a sixpence to keep in her shoe - it's said to bring good fortune to the marriage!

Love the way he looks at his bride...

Daddy giving his daughter away...

Before Eric even met Brittany, he wrote a letter to "His Future Wife" filled with all his hopes, and promises for the life they would be sharing... he read it to her during the ceremony and it was probably my favorite part of the whole wedding. *tear* :)

The unity sand and a moment of prayer between the bride & groom.
Such a beautiful day for a wedding!

He caught the garter and she caught the flowers.... and they were already dating!

A perfect way to end the evening... a little (homemade-from-scratch) cake in the face :)
Some Portraits

I could just eat him up!
While I was taking this one, one of the guys said, "Should we be smiling?"  and a series of giggles - er I mean, manly laughter - erupted from under the hats...

What's a fall wedding without a little corn maze and super slide fun?

Brittany & Eric I wish you a lifetime of laughter and joy - thank you for letting me be such a special part of your big day!
